My Remy Clip-in human-hair extension review! Luxy Locks, Foxxy Locks, Pro-Extensions, HeadKandy, Euronext, Super Strands, and Hello Gorgeous

Hey everyone!  As promised I told you I would do a hair extension review after I got all my extensions. I recently ordered three different brands. Luxy Locks, Super Strands, and Head Kandy. In the past I have used Euro-next, Foxxy Locks, and pro-extensions. These are all clip-in extensions, I have used fusions and micro beads and it ruins the hair in my opinion. Plus this is cheaper and an easier way to change your look from short to medium to long.

I typically use my hair extensions for photo shoots and going out on the town. I have long hair, but not as long as I'd like or as thick. Extensions give me a different look and make me feel and look sexy in my opinion. So with out further-ado lets begin the review!

Euro-next (First extensions I have ever used) -

You can buy them at Sally's Beauty Supply

Pros:

  • You can buy these from your local beauty supply store Sally Beauty Supply.

  • Cheap - $100

  • Quality of hair is very nice and lasts

Cons:

  • Only 80 grams of hair. If you have thicker hair you will need to buy two boxes.

  • The metal clips, have broken on me a few times.

  • The hair does not curl well. These extensions are more for girls that prefer to wear their hair straight.

  • Only comes in two lengths 14 inch and 18 inch. So if you are a girl like me that prefers 20 to 26 inches of hair this isn't for us.

Pro-Extensions:

Website: http://proextensions.com

Pros:

  • Come in a variety of lengths 10", 14", 20", and 24"

  • Curl well

  • Free over-night shipping

  • Great Customer Service

  • Cost $150

Cons:

  • After I washed them they were never the same and got frizzy..not good at all! So I guess just never wash them...

Foxxy Locks (Deluxe Edition 160 Grams)

Website: http://foxylocksextensions.com/

Pros:

  • Great price for how much hair you get! I paid about 130 for a 160 grams of hair! That's a lot of hair!

  • They come in a variety of colors that are very authentic to real hair color, especially the blonde section. It's hard to find a good blonde that matches dyed/highlighted hair.

  • Great hair quality - so soft - curls/styles well

  • They offer all the way up to 215 grams of hair

  • The girl that makes them has a great youtube channel for tutorials on different ways to utilize the extensions.

Cons:

  • They shrank on me about 8 months..I bought the 20 inch and they were about as long as my natural hair which is a few inches past my shoulder..so you couldn't really tell I was wearing them at all. NOTE:  You are supposed to replace most extensions after 6 months, but some have lasted me a year or more. I just thought the quality of the hair would last longer. But still great review overall!

Luxy Locks: (20 inch 160 Grams)

Website: http://luxyhair.com

Pros:

  • Their affordable

  • Customer Service writes back either same day or the next day.

  • They refunded my money.

  • The owners are sisters "Luxy sisters" on youtube. They have great tutorials and videos. The extensions they have look great. Which is why I bought them. They just must look better in darker colors, cause the blonde was not great.

Cons:

  • The blonde extensions I bought looked totally different on the website and video the Luxy sisters had on their youtube swatches video. The hair looked Barbie Doll like and the color was horrible. Barbie Doll Yellow!

  • They have a tester strip pouch, that I assumed you could open. Cause obviously the other side you can't open or you can't return it. It has a seal on it that states such. Well I opened the tester strip to make sure I liked it. After inspecting the tester strip one of the clips was half way off and as I mention the color/texture/look/thickness isn't what I expected at all. So I decided to return the extensions with much headache! They almost weren't going to refund me the money, because I opened the tester strip side? Umm what's the point of sending a tester strip if you can't open it? There was no mention of this on the website or on the package itself. Just for full hair extensions themselves. Mind you I had to use my own money to send the extensions back by FED EX which was $30.00 and it took forever for them to say they got the package. Even though it said on tracking they had it. SO ANNOYING. They did eventually refund me the money, but I will never or would never shop with them again.

HeadKandy: (24-26 inch 180 Grams)

Website: http://headkandy.com

Pros:

  • GREAT Hair Quality/so thick

  • Styles well

  • comes in 14 to 26 inches (awesome!)

  • Great Clips

  • I don't even use all the hair they gave me, so when one extension goes bad I can always change it out for the ones I'm not using.

  • Great customer service/fast shipping

  • Great colors - the blonde looks so natural!

  • Great price for the quality and how much hair you get! I paid $215 all together

Cons:

  • None at this time

Super Strands: (20 inch 90 - 100 grams)

Website: http://superstrands.com

  • Great hair quality/love the color

  • Style awesomely

  • Great price only paid about $85

  • I am going to keep this in the positive, I wish I would of bought the deluxe set

Cons:

  • Girls with thinner hair wont want to use these, cause of the clips. They are large and wont work well for thinner hair. However the larger clips believe it or not, set better on the head and conceal better.

Hello Gorgeous Exensions: ( 24 inch Deluxe 285 Grams of hair)

Website: http://www.shophellogorgeoushairextensions.com/

  • Custom made for you!

  • Great price for the hair quality and being custom made.

  • Style/curl well

  • Soooooo much hair! 285 grams of hair is nuts..

  • Come in all different length, I think the longest length is 34 inches

  • I paid about $400 and don't use all the parts cause it's just so much hair

  • Looks Very natural..

Cons:

  • It's a lot of money for a lot of pocket books.

  • A long wait time, since they are custom made. So you will want to order these a month or so out.

  • Customer service isn't the greatest, but she is a one woman team pretty much. So in many ways it's understandable.

Alright guys these are my honest reviews on every hair extension I have ever used and bought. I hope this helps you in purchasing your set of extensions. Extensions can be so much fun to use and really change your look and give you awesome sex appeal. If you can't afford Hello Gorgeous or HeadKand, I would suggest Foxy Locks and Super Strands. Both Great hair extensions. GOOD LUCK!

P.S. Please let me know which ones you have used and liked or if you buy one of the ones I suggested. I would love to know what you think!

Lots of Love and Luck

Kelly

A great read for all women into men or raising a boy into a man :)

I have to honestly say that this book is a MUST read for any woman who is married to a man, dating a man, wanting a man or has a little man she is raising of her own!

I’ve read other books on relationships, the different needs of men and women, but by far this little book is a power packed page turner!

Everything in the book is “real” stuff. She interviewed over a thousand guys and then gives you the results of her research…she asks stuff that your man probably won’t answer truthfully, even if you tried to ask. Ex: what exactly happened in their head after that mini skirt walked in front of them…and it’s based on statistics so you get an understanding of what the majority of men thought, and what the few minority had to say.

And I like to use President Reagan's line "trust but verify." So I read a few of the questions and results to my own man, and he agreed her research and conclusions. This alone is astonishing because my man usually doesn't agree with much. And what was surprising to me was how much I DIDN'T know about how men think, after all I've been married to one for 3 years, you'd think I would have picked some clues up by then--nope! But thanks to Mrs. Feldhahn, I'm getting clued in!

I know you’ll be blessed by this book as I have been, and the man (or men) in your life will thank you for “finally getting it” puns totally intended! Ha ha ha!

Happy Reading,

Kelly

Cloud-spiration

The other day I walking to the living room... and this sunset "treat-for-eyes" stopped me in my steps and made me think.  I started thinking about how the sunset doesn't look like this without the clouds. It's just plain and grey. BUT....with the clouds, the sun has something to soak up and reflect this beautiful color and light. And that is how our lives are too! "without the clouds in our life, we wouldn't have beautiful sunsets of inspiration and beauty!

No matter what is going on in your life:

Relationship problems, heartbreak, loss. financial troubles, feelings of hopelessness, loneliness, feeling out of contro,l family problems or whatever they case may be!  Be encouraged by these stories of "storm clouds" in people's lives, that have really been beautiful sunsets of opportunity just waiting for the sun to go down to make them shine.

A single and broke mama, who started making and selling sandwiches out of her home because she suffered from Agoraphobia...went from a former bank teller to cook at a Best Western Hotel...to the now famous, Paula Deen with a cooking empire. And she found her true love and soul mate along the way! Paula Deen suffered a lot of the things on the list.... but she didn't give up... she didn't say.."oh now I'm so alone!"...she didn't say now I don't have a husband...I can't make it. She didn't say...now I don't have a job, we're going to be homeless. NO! she put on her big girl pants... realized what she loved....COOKING... and found a way to start doing what she loved.  She USED WHAT SHE GOT: she had a kitchen.. she had skills... she had a desire... she had to do something because she only had $200 to her name.. she had fear of leaving her house...but that didn't stop her! Now she has become successful because of every STORM CLOUD in her life that made the sun shine a beautiful sunset of success! AND ALL THOSE CLOUDS made for the most beautiful sunset in her life every day!!!

SO today...rejoice for the clouds...they are bringing a beautiful sunset for you! Life has a beautiful sunset waiting to sparkle success in your life....let's just be thankful for the clouds that are going to make our sunset amazing!!! From your friend with cloudiness....but waiting for them to make my sunsets beautiful, your Kelly please share this with anyone that needs to hear this (I encourage you to share it on facebook and twitter...because people always ask if it's ok...it's more than OK...I want to help change hearts...so share away!)

Emotions!

Emotions are our own, not anybody else's! (I imagine this is what our emotions look like, lots of different intensities and shades--I have no scientific evidence ha ha ha!) We all have emotions and I'm sure you are already aware of them. Our emotions are what go bananas when we don't get our "way," think that we have been cheated or short-changed in some way, are hurt, feel lonely, surge with jealousy and basically are how we react to most things in life.

Here's the bombshell. These "emotions" can be harnessed. You don't have to fly off the handle when someone has said something hurtful about or to you. You CAN and also HAVE, the freedom to CHOOSE how you will respond. I spent MANY years, blaming others for how I "had" to respond. I would blame friends who did something hurtful to me--as WHY I had to "get them back" or plot ways to hurt them just as they had done to me. This is a very emotionally based way to live. And it's also very exhausting, depressing, lonely and a scared way to live your life. Believe me, "emotionally" responding to every little thing and allowing your emotions to run wild at any given moment will leave you feeling worse than the meanest person you've ever met!

So what do we do with raging emotions?  How we should respond when we are hurt? Rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed!  I know it may be hard at first but with practice and determination anything is possible.  If anything at least you will be less frequent with your rages! Clothes yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.   You will be so much more happier and so much more productive everyday! We are all FREE to choose how we will respond! Respond with a thankful heart that you are alive and have a chance to do something great for yourself and others! Respond to others with compassion, kindness, love and forgiveness. You will see your relationships will grow stronger and you will grow happier.

So next time you are faced with a jerky person, difficult circumstances or just life not working out as you had planned...stop and think for a minute. Sometimes I have to tell myself, "Kelly, just stop it. Let's put our raging emotions on hold for a minute and ask what response be the best and make me a good person and stronger and realizing being negative never helps anything!?" That's a "tune" changer if I ever heard one! Ha ha ha! It changes my whiney, hurt, mad, "why me" type of emotional response EVERY TIME. And at the end of the day, I'm ALWAYS glad when I choose positivity over negativity!  I feel better, sleep better and enjoy peace rather than being tortured by my own wild emotions. You too can become an emotional wrangler if you give it a true shot! Emotions are part of who we are, but they should never be allowed to run totally wild. I'm done with the days that my emotions ruled me, and I'm learning more everyday how I can better wrangle them into submission! Remember that emotions ALWAYS need some sort of harness to head in the right direction. And the best harness is positivity! Huge love, KELLY

Family Ties!

Tonight we visited my hubbie's mom, because he wasn't feeling well today (what a baby lol).  However, it was complicated by his mother and him having a huge fight that's a recurring argument in their lives (ack).  Know, however, I am very proud of him for not blowing up (he has a short fuse) and for comforting her.  They have sort of a destructive past life, due to her inability to get over the fact  that his father ran out on them so early on.  He was her one true love.  I'm glad I can help stabilize their relationship and start a new family.  I'm glad my hubby has become more aware of not blaming his mother for everything.  It takes two to be a parent, and he doesn't fully understand where his mother comes from.  However it's not something a child should need to understand.  I'm just glad they are talking to each other calmly and admitting each others faults.  And not screaming past one another.  I love my mother-in-law and I love my husband.  I know sometimes she has a hard time dealing with the fact that I'm a transsexual, but at the end of the day she always tells me you are so beautiful and sweet and helpful.  I couldn't ask for a better women in my sons life.

So I am super sorry about the cam4 show tonight - we weren't at our best.  But we all talked more tonight and are going to bed happy and a family!
Love you guys!

Kelly!

I have a DARE for you!

This is the look of happiness even though my body feels more like "Sleepless in Seattle"...except that I'm no where near Seattle! ha ha ha

My random thoughts on tv right now: since I've watched more tv lately, than I think I have in years...I am now fully caught up on "reality-ness"...and man, I have to say...tv seems to like to enjoy showing how awful, rude, and mean people can be...
it's almost like the worse people are the more popular the show is!  This is so sad...and makes me feel awful seeing people being so mean and rude.

There should be a channel that shows fun, positive, nice people...that can still be cool and hip and stylish, but just nice and kind to other people...something that makes you feel better after you've watched it! I MEAN GEEZE! Come on HOLLYWOOD!!

Here's some wise words everyone should have taped on their mirror (ha ha ha):
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Imagine how great our days would be if everyone we talked to said kind, inspiring things....and didn't say anything rude, sarcastic, or mean!?!
This is a dare...or rather this is our mission, if you choose to accept it:

Today (go crazy..make it everyday)...stop yourself when you start to say anything that isn't positive, kind, or anything slightly gossip-y....
and only say things that have a positive spin, are kind, happy and encouraging.....
watch how YOU will not only feel happier...but so will everyone that is around you!
they will leave happier for having talked to you!

so let's get out there...especially all of YOU, because I'm not really leaving my house much with webcamming and having a family...ha ha ha...and spread some kindess...and extra "thank you so much" or "have an awesome day!"....or real compliment to brighten someone's day up!

You guys are wonderful and remember the happiness in your heart is like a flower with seeds that are waiting to be thrown all around...to grow more happiness in other people's hearts!

Go our there gorgeous and shine that beauty that's inside....your friend, Kelly!

Really a new IPHONE 5 already??

(see...here I am with an iphone 3 still...I haven't even had the chance to get a new iPhone4 and I been way cellularly outdated! ha ha)

I feel like the keep that can't keep up with the "coolness"...
it's like just when you buy wide leg pants...skinny jeans are in...
you  buy all skinny jeans and and guess what....jeans up to your neck, are COOL now!

Man, and I just thinking about getting an iphone 4....my hubby just got one cause his iPhone 3 was stolen and I don't really notice that big of difference between the two BUT
now rumors of the iphone 5 are out!
YES THE iphone 5 is gonna blow old iphone 3 & 4 right out of it's shiny, "shatter-able" case!

why the iphone 5 (rumored to be out in June) will practically shoot fireworks out it's top:

  • Dual Core Processor- making it work at ridiculous speeds

  • It will have 5 billion megapixels..ha ha..ok not 5 billion but it will have better camera and video features

  • It will run on  a 4G network..making 3G look like "3's not company...because 4's a party!"

  • Expected to have Face Recognition Security so unless someone has an exact model of your face no one's gettin' into your phone!

  • Video Chat on a 4G network instead of a "snoozy" 3G network

  • Thinner and better design

  • Shatter Resistant and Scratch Resistant Screen- now we're talking! (really did it need to be glass on the front and back of the 4G...well it was a good way to increase protective case sales!) ha ha

  • The lowest model will have 32 G of space!

  • Longer Battery Life - Up to 14 Hours of Talk Time On The 3G and 7 Hours on the 4G.(I could just live stream face-time more than half my day away!)

  • HD Audio -even the sound will be sweeter to your ears!

  • Built In GPS -Now you'll never be able to use the "i got lost excuse"...ha ha ha

Why this makes me sad:
*I haven't even got the 4G iphone!

*Now I have to wait till the 5G iPhone comes out! ha ha

*Once again, if I relied on material things to be cool....I'd still be the kid eating lunch by herself in the cafeteria.

AND A NEW IPAD 2... I don't even have an ipad 1!

On this one...I can't even begin to keep up, when I don't even have an ipad to update!

RUMORS of the ipad 2:

from this picture it's supposed to show the microphone on the back as well as the ipad 2 on there!

It's "rumored" to have 2 cameras...one on the screen for face-time video chats...and one for taking pics

ohh la la...they sent the old ipad on a diet..and the new ipad 2 is now half it's size! ha ha

Maybe I'll do that to lose my baby weight, introducing Kandee 5, 4 times the baby, 5 times the weight loss! ha ha ha

The new ipad will also come with a SMGPS- Soul Mate GPS...so you can see exactly where your soulmate is to track them down! ha ha ha (just kidding, I just made that part up!)

Good thing I don't rely on having the latest and greatest to be the coolest...I like being outdated and slow...ha ha ha....I'll be like a cool vintage car with big fins in a world full of Prius's...

pink cadillacs and brick phones....

your friend Kelly!

How To Deal With Rude People!!

I think everyone at some point in their day or week, comes across the path of at least one person who is rude to you.

I encountered a few people in my life that were extra-rude! I first thought, maybe they are just having a bad day, maybe they can't help that they lack people skills and kindness. Then as I continued to speak to rude person #1, I realized, "I think they are just rude!" Then I came across rude person #2, and again I was amazed at their rudeness! How can these people go though life mowing people over with their horrible attitudes and words?

This is what I've realized when I "get" to come in contact with these "rude-y's"...

#1. Don't let them effect you with their rudeness ~ I try to never react with what I feel like dishing out to them...that would make me just as awful as them.
To the rude lady at the cupcake shop who rudely tried to make me feel like an idiot..to which I could have rudely replied, "You are one of the rudest business people I've ever dealt with...I could go on twitter/youtube/facebook and have thousands of people hear about how stinkin' rude you are and that NO ONE should ever buy your stupid cupcakes. You have the worst people skills and HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO anyone, let alone a potential customer that way you depressing little woman! I don't want anyone to ever have to deal with you or your pretentious little cupcake bakery!" BUT I DIDN'T SAY ANY  OF THAT! (i just had to think of all the awful things I COULD have said, but I don't even naturally think like that! ha ha ha)
Instead I said, "OK, sounds like this won't work out. Maybe I'll try back when you have all your ordering figured out. Have a great day, bye!"

#2. Never let these rudey ones put a damper on your happiness ~ Don't let them steal your happiness, that only lets them win with the "power of their rudeness"! The best revenge is being extra happy and not-effected!

#3. Overpower the rudeness ~ that saying kill em' with kindness is my favorite way of dealing with rude people. Nothing makes a "rudey" feel worse than when you are nice to them...it takes the angry wind, right out of their sails!

#4. People that are rude have no clue what graciousness is ~ Graciousness is marked by kindness, sympathy, and unaffected politeness (according to the dictionary) and rude people are the complete opposite - Ungraciousness is an offensive lack of good manners. We want nothing to do with that.

#5.  Feel sorry for rude people ~ Yes, that's right, feel sorry for them, this is a horrible "disease of rudeness" that they have. I bet they have misery and anger in their lives at every turn. That's why it spills out of them like an overflowing bathtub...you get filled up on what's in the inside and it spills out.

#6. Spill some kindess ~ just like the "rudey's" are full of anger and misery (their bathtubs are overflowing)......make sure you fill yourself with kindness, so that kindness spills out on everyone that comes in your path, from a waitress to your grandma, to a stranger that you hold the door open for, or let go in front of you in line when you see they only have a few items and you have a whole cart full.

Rudeness only has an effect if we let it. Are there rude people in the world? Yes. Are they almost everywhere we go? Yes. Do we have to be victim to their rudeness? NO! We can choose to put up our mirror of "rude-reflection"...not only will it bounce back the rudeness that they just spit out at us...so that our kindness will show them how "rude-iculous" they were, but also, that we WILL NOT LET IT EFFECT US or our DAY! And even if they still keep on keepin' on with their rude ways.....we can rejoice that we are not like that, and get away from them as fast as we can!

May you be a light of sparkling kindness wherever you go today...leave a path of people who feel better for having come into your presence. A big smile, a nice "thanks you so much!", and a kind, "have a great day!"...can totally bring a smile to someone's day.
A compliment, a kind smile, and something nice or encouraging...will always make someone's day better!

Let's be a huge revolution of "happy-day-maker's" where ever we go today...and every day!

typed with love from someone who battled a few "rudeys" all day...and not a one of them won! ha ha ha

huge love and super big smile...Your Kelly!

How to get rid of that stormy day!

ARE YOU GOING THOUGH A STORM IN LIFE?

I love the saying: "Don't Let the Storms of Your Past, Cloud Your Future"

I've had many storms in my life, from being cheated on, hurt, feeling like my dreams were over, the pain of the loss of my parents, being a transsexual, being broke, I could keep going on and on (ha ha ha)...and I definitely could've let that gloom up my future.

  • Whether it was a relationship "storm"- someone hurt you, cheated on you, broke your heart, betrayed you.

  • A depression storm- you feel hopeless, sad, and feel like giving up.

  • A financial storm - you are feeling like your wallet is way to empty, your bank account has gone on a diet, and your bills are scaring you...

  • Past Storms- you had a bad childhood, loss of someone dear to you, you've grown up with a family life, you've had trouble in your past, you feel guilty over something.

Chase the Storm Clouds Away

You have to make sure you chase the storm clouds away, and let the beautiful rainbow of your future come out and shine.

Your thoughts are more powerful than you know!!!

  • If you just let any old "stormy" thought keep creeping into your mind- you are sure to stay in "stormy-land"!

  • You must "re-set" the weather in your life!

  • Think about how you want things to be, instead of how things are or how they have been. ~ If you've been hurt or disappointed, stop thinking about how hurt and disappointed you are and think about and tell yourself, "I am strong and have a bright future! I am getting better and better each day!"

  • And just like you can't eat once a week and think that will keep you filled, you need to eat several times a day...same thing with your thoughts- you need to feed your mind with positive thoughts all day long!

GET READY TO LET THE RAINBOW SHINE IN YOUR FUTURE

Sure we may have more storms in life...but as long as you don't let the rain and clouds ruin your future...you can anticipate the rainbow!

The sun will always come out!

And sometimes our tears are like the rain that waters the rainbows in our heart! So, my precious hearts....if the rain or tears are falling right now in your life....know that I am sending you a hug right now, for my arms to hold your heart...and say, "it's okay....this storm will pass, and  your future will grow full with blossoms, for even the flowers need the rainstorms to grow!"

My life has seen storms of all kinds....heartbreak, hopelessness, hurt, sadness, no money...just feeling like I can't go on...

and through it all I would tell myself, "Stop it Kelly...you better stop it with this sinkin'-stinkin'-thinkin'....and get your mind back on track with positive thoughts right now!"

*where the mind goes...the person follows....

Lead your self into great thoughts and places.

Tell yourself:

  • I am great (even if you feel you're not...yet!)

  • I am cherished and adored!

  • My future is going to be awesome!

  • I can't wait to see what is waiting for me  in this life!

  • I will make my dreams come true!

  • I will find someone that will cherish and love me so much they will NEVER even think of hurting me in ANY way at all!

  • I am worthy of being loved!

  • I am happy- rain or shine!

I love you all so much...and I don't care what storms you have in your past...THEY WILL NOT CLOUD YOUR FUTURE....the storms only watered the blossoms in your life....and will make your future that much more beautiful with "watered" flowers!

This day is great and is waiting for you to change your thoughts, which will change your mind, which will change your life!

Watch your thoughts, for they become your words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become your character.
Watch your character, for it becomes you destiny.

Think about thoughts that are wonderful today....don't let those little "cloudy" thoughts sneek in...

Moments in life........

We all have days that we want this day to end. Whether your heart is breaking, your depressed, sad, hurt...frustrated or overwhelmed....believe me, I understand.

I am human. I am real. I cry. I get sad....I want you to know I go through all the things you do and you are going through!

Last night I definitely washed my heart with tears.  And as I cried, I could feel my heart trying to mend itself....and as more tears fell...and my nose got stuffed up....I felt all of me melt.

Sometimes things in our lives feel so far from perfect. So imperfect, that our hearts long for things to be so right. We may feel like our lives are far away from the “perfect lives” we see on tv or in movies. We may be unhappy with our looks. With decisions we made and wish we could take back. Whatever the case may be.

I’m here to to say: It’s ok, we are real, our feelings are real. That’s what makes us beautiful. Real is beautiful.

I want you to know that if tears have been running down your face....”tears are rain for your heart that just bring out rainbows and flowers in your soul”...Even though you may have tears at night, you can dance and sing in the morning with a new day, filled with new hope....new smiles....new songs of happiness!

It's healthy to cry, argue, scream, and vent. It gets your feelings out and sometimes you just need it to feel release and relief.
When you have a moment:

love yourself- be kind, and tell yourself it’s ok....
rest- sleep restores and refreshes our mind to deal with all the “problems” in our lives
give yourself permission to be imperfect- some of the most amazing people I’ve ever known were ones that had lives that were FAR from perfect
if tears are falling- let them fall, let your mascara get all messed up (ha ha ha)...release all that your heart is full with...
“talk in a can”- talk with can’s....”I can be happy”, “I can get through this”, I can be happy happy no matter how imperfect my life is”. “I can do it!!!!”

I have been in many moments that I thought I couldn’t take much more of...and in all those moments I said, “these things may seem too BIG for me, TOO much to handle, I can’t take anymore!”...
STOP....take a deep breath...say, “I’m ok....I am much stronger than I think. I can go through anything...and just like that broken shattered mirror that shines are sparkled more and more because of all it’s brokeness... we will shine and sparkle more!”

Look and remember who you love and care about. Find things to be grateful for dears. Don't think you are the only one with issues or fight or scream! We all have those moments!! It is nothing to be ashamed of my darlings.
I will be that expert sailor, with all kinds of stories of awful storms I’ve been through...but you know what...just like an old wise sailor....I will be able to go through any storm and steer my little “life” boat though anything because I’ve navigated through some serious “troubled storms in my life!”

So the next time you are feeling down.....know that it’s ok...I’ve been there with you....I was just there last night!  ha ha ha ha

And as my gramma says: “Any day your above ground is a good day!”

Huge love my precious hearts.....I hope you can feel the hug I’m sending to your heart right now!
I feel down a lot at times because of things, but I look around and remember the loved ones I have right now.
How lucky I am to have a husband, a beautiful step-daughter, and friends and fans who support me through all.

I'm sleepy.......
huge love....again

Beauty 101 & Transitioning!

Step 1 (Finding you and weighing the decision) - Accept yourself!  Your opinion of who you are is what matters most!  Find solace and a safe circle in support groups, counseling, and friends and family to find yourself.  You could even utilize forums and chat rooms to help you get started.  Any support can be helpful! Especially in the beginning! Being a transsexual a lot of times takes growth, perseverance, and is definitely a little about selfishness.  It's okay to be selfish sometimes.  You must tell yourself this!  Think about it, the people in your life who don't accept you are usually basing it on their own selfish views of who you are and should be. You have two choices.  You can make everyone else happy or you can make yourself happy!  Life is short and you must lead your life for you!  Don't waste your years.  Living with regret is a horrible feeling.

For the insecure ones!  If whats holding you back is age, height, and others saying you can't...STOP!  I want you to throw that negativity out the window!  Women and men come in all different shapes, sizes, and looks!  If being a woman is just about being beautiful to you, then maybe you should rethink your transition.  Being a woman is so much more than looks!  For the tall girls let me name some tall statuesque women. Tyra Banks, Naomi Campbell, Kimora Lee Simmons, and many more! Does their height alter their femininity? I think not! These names should sound familiar to you. Keep in mind hormones can do a lot to diminish harsh lines, muscles, bulkiness, and it beautifies and softens the skin. There are other surgical procedures we will speak of later.

Step 2 - BRAVERY! Stick to your guns. Don't give others a reason to question who you are.  You know who you are and you define who you are. No one else does! Some of you may need counseling to get you on a safe and stable bedding. There is no harm in this. While others are fighters and know exactly what they want and aren't scared to live it.

Remember to always be respectful of other peoples' opinions, but make sure you put your opinion out there as well. After all opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. Doesn't mean you need to take it to heart.

When you are ready (Read that phrase again! When you are ready!)  to come out to your family and friends you will need to educate them on the decision, but their approval is not needed! Don't fight them! Debate, but keep it classy. Yelling and showing aggression will not get your point across.

I know it will hurt a lot, especially with some of the things they might say. Keep in mind some of their attitude is their own confusion, anger, and their own selfishness coming out. Stay strong, don't let them control your emotions! Let them know how much it hurts you inside to live a lie every day. Keep to how you feel inside and less about image! They may not understand at first, but eventually one day they will come around! Some wont, but every big decision in life comes with sacrifice.  There are others who will support and love you!  Count on this!

Step 3 (Therapy) - I suggest you always see a counselor first, and really understand what you are feeling. I think many times trans-women are misdiagnosed.  They have body dysphoria disorder, rather than being a transsexual.  A counselor will also be needed to further your transition.  A counselor will also help provide much needed support, help you vent, and help you grow stronger with in!  Believe me, you will need to stay strong for your journey.

As mentioned above you will also utilize a counselor to get on hormones and later to go post-operative. I do not think girls should self-medicate. Plus,  the counselor should also refer you to a electrolysis/laser hair removal technician.  You will normally get a referral rate. I will explain more in the next section.

Step 4 (Hair Removal/Hormones) - Electrolysis and laser hair removal is painful I will not lie to you. If you have pain killers I would suggest to take them before hand!  I would also suggest to do a mixture between laser and electrolysis.  In between your hair removal treatments I would suggest facial peels with laser or even dermabrasion, because hair removal can be very irritating to the skin.  Keep your skin hydrated!  Drink lots of water, moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!  I would drink 4 to 5 bottles of water a day.  I personally like Clinique "Dramatically Different Moisturizer" and I like putting straight vitamin E oil on my face and using witch hazel for an astringent.  Alcohol is very drying to the skin, and it makes you look older.  This was suggested to me by my electrolysis and it has done wonders for my skin!

You may also want to utilize vitamins to help your skin!  Vitamins E and C are the most commonly used for skin!  It really does help!

Girls may ask where I would go for hair removal treatment. I live in the Chicago area,  so I would suggest Cassandra for hair removal.  She works with Dr. Miller who is a endocrinologist.  She is very good and understands the need and  cost of transition.  Also keep in mind she is also a trans-woman herself, so you will be treated with dignity and respect.  I will link that info at the end.

As far as hormones, I suggest every girl use a endocrinologist, rather than self-medicating.  A endocrinologist will give you blood tests to give you your hormone count and make sure you are inserting hormones into your body safely for your health.

Many girls over-medicate and ruin their sexual organs.  If any of you plan on going post-operative you will want to keep the sensation in your penis.  Hormones can ruin the nerve endings, and not to mention hormones are hard on the liver.   The more sensation you have in your penis, the better chance you have reaching orgasm post-op.

Using a good endocrinologists will heighten you to your fullest feminine potential, by watching your testosterone level and estrogen level, and giving you the right dosage for your body.  This will be the safest way and  you will achieve great results.

Don't think over-medicating will make the transition process go faster!  It takes five years for hormones to fully work on the body!  I know a lot of girls over-medicate thinking it will make the process faster, but really you are only being harsh to your body.

Pill form you only use a percentage of the hormone, and even shots, you only use a low percentage of the hormone.  I personally think the best route to go is hormone pellets! You use pellets up to a six month period, and it is evenly distributed through out your body.  I would suggest Dr. Odea to all girls, at least for the first year or two. He will do miraculous things for you! I will post his website at the bottom as well!  He is located in California area though.  I think he is worth the trip!

For my Chicago girls, I would suggest Dr. Miller!  I like him a lot. I do not go to Dr. Odea anymore.  I now utilize delestrogen shots and spironolactine with Dr. Miller. I get blood tests regularly with him to make sure my levels are correct. We are working on my own regimen at this time, and you will have your own as well.  Every girl's hormones are different keep in mind.

If girls are going to self medicate I would suggest you go to this page  http://www.annelawrence.com/twr/regimens.html for details on proper dosage. I would also suggest this supplier  for your hormones http://www.inhousepharmacy-europe.com/transgender/transgender.html they are reputable from my understanding. Please girls follow the proper dosages, and don't over-medicate!

Step 5 (Clothes, Cosmetics, Eyebrows, Hair) -  When you are ready to go shopping this will be an exciting time for you.  You will be on your way to becoming the woman you always were!  Remember gender is between the ears.  I would suggest studying styles, looks, and fashions online and in magazines.  I would also take your measurements, and invest in some silicone breast forms (I call them chicken cutlets) till you are developing breast or get implants. You can get those here http://thebreastformstore.com to wear in a bra and they have all different sizes.

Make sure to find clothing that best suits your body and is becoming. Remember your shoulders will probably be larger than your hip proportions.  So your dress size for dresses may vary. You may be petite in the mid-section, but larger on top.

My favorite online store is http://www.greatglam.com the clothes are reliable, cheap, and last. I used to shop at Bebe a lot and other high end fashion brands until I noticed their clothes frayed fast, and would end up falling apart. I like great glam, cheap or not, their clothes last. Whatever your personal preference is dress for you!

Eyebrows are the window to the face as they say.  A perfect eyebrow will really bring femininity to your face!  It's hard finding a good eyebrow specialist.  If I may make a suggestion, I get my done when I go to get my nails done.  Asians in my personal experience do great eyebrows.  Especially compared to when I went to a white girl in a hair salon!  They always seemed to be uneven.  Thinking about it now even annoys me.

Hair will be a necessity. When you are first starting out you will most likely need to wear wigs. Many transsexuals utilize wigs and extensions.  There is no shame in this!  Women do it too!  I would spend the most on your hair!  Lace front/full wigs are the most natural.  I would make sure to invest in a 100 % natural hair wig.  Here is a good website http://www.invisiwig.com you can order offline.

Girls with hair, I personally love gay hair stylist.  They in my opinion always seem to be the best.  Every time I have gone to a female hair stylist I have always ended up disappointed. They turned my hair yellow or brassy or cut it badly.  They are just not good hair stylist in my opinion.

I love Robert in Chicago at Salon 1800 in Oldtown.  He also judges the Miss Continental pageants, and he is a beauty platform artist for Moroccan Oil products.  They are the best products, especially for damaged hair!! Check out their website http://www.morrocanoil.com you wont be sorry! If you are in Chicago for a few days get in touch with him!

Hair extensions can be put in many ways.  I have done the clip-ins and I have done the dreamcatchers. I love both. The clip-ins are much more inexpensive, but it's up to you what you do.  My hair now is all natural, but hair extensions can give you a more sexier and fuller look. Think sex kitten!  You can watch youtube tutorials to help teach you how to put extensions in on your own too. Youtube is really a great source to learn tips on beauty!

Make up is an art. You will learn new looks and styles every day. I would suggest every girl own the Kevyn Aucoin beauty books.  These will really help you on contouring and enhancing your face!  We all have our flaws.  I again would suggest youtube for learning, and I would suggest practice, practice, practice in the mirror.  I personally would practice with cheap make up, so you aren't wasting the expensive. Make-up is expensive when you think about it.

Make up brands I like are Cargo Cosmetics, Dior, Estee Lauder, Smashbox, and Nars.  I am not a fan of MAC foundations, but their eyeshadows and pigments are amazing!  Just have fun and study your craft and face!  If you aren't sure how it looks jump on a webcam or take a picture!

Step 6 (Surgeries optional) - I personally believe FFS (facial feminization surgery) is a natural process of transitioning.  Unless you started really young or got lucky with feminine features.  A man and woman's facial shape is different in many ways!  I think every girl should have at least her nose and adams apple done to achieve a more passable appearance.

Adams apple will normally give you away the fastest.  I think the face should be concentrated on before the breast.  Nobody is going to see you walking down the street nude, but they will see your face. Passing will open up more doors for you to be honest.  It will open up a better chance at jobs, relationships, and acceptance. It will also in the end make you feel more comfortable in your skin.

If you aren't a wealthy executive who is transitioning or have a rich family or benefactor transition is going to be expensive.  Some girls pay by credit, others escort, some model, and many others go the cheapest route and pump their face with silicone to enhance their femininity.  I don't condone silicone pumping in the face, but many do it.  If you are going to do this, make sure you use medical grade silicone, and go to a specialist/doctor who offers it.  Don't go to some crackpot!

I would also suggest webcaming for transition.  It pays well, it's not illegal, and it's safe!  There are numbers of sites that you can model for online.  I personally like streammate, because there is no chargebacks and there is great traffic.

If you are going to go the escort route, be safe girls! Screen your calls and make sure to protect yourself!

You will probably need anywhere between 20 k to 40 k to do your face and breast properly.  Not to mention you will need to save up a few extra grand for living expenses and more, if you don't have anyone to rely on. As I said it is very expensive, but your face is what everyone sees.

Go to the best, google their reviews and history.  I have went to two surgeons who I am dissatisfied with and now going in for more FFS for my third time to fix things.  Don't make my mistake. I am now looking into Dr. Garth Fisher from Extreme Makeover and Dr. Gray for my breast.  There are a number of surgeons who offer FFS and claim to be skilled at it, but they really aren't!

Some doctors I would suggest are Dr. Garth Fisher, Dr. Ousterhout, Dr. Zukowski, Dr. Cheetawaut, Dr. Suporn, and Dr. Mayer are a few. Don't be scared to interview and ask hard hitting questions to your surgeon.  Go with who you believe is the best!

If you are a girl planning on going post op or getting castrated. I would again goto the best doctors for this. Don't mess with your downstairs and go to a hack job.  You will definitely be dissatisfied! It wont be due to the loss of your penis, it will be due to the mess you have downstairs.

Some doctors I can suggest are Dr. Toby Meltzer, Dr. Suporn, Dr. Reed, and Dr. Menard.  I have seen all of these surgeons work in person, and they did reputable jobs.  I used to work in a laser/electrolysis office, so I saw work from every doctor you could imagine.

Dr. Meltzer, will be the most expensive, but his vaginal skills are amazing. Dr. Suporn and Dr. Menard are both out of the country, but great doctors.  Dr. Suporn, does this surgery every day since he is located in Thailand.  He has much practice and gives great results.

I hope this information has been helpful!  If other girls have things to add please leave suggestions and tips in a comment.  This really helps our trans-sisters out. Thanks for reading secretkelly.com

Don't you love Halloween?

It's the one time of year where it is okay to let go of your inhibitions and have fun! I also love the scary movie marathons. Some of my favorites are Jason, Halloween, and of course Freddy Krueger. I think Freddy is my favorite, because Robert Englund portrayed the character so well and he was so funny! They recently re-made the move A Nightmare On Elmstreet, and in my opinion it sucked. I am sorry, but Freddy should of been played by Robert Englund. None of the characters in the movie you could really relate to either. Anyways I found the original on youtube enjoy! What is everyone going to be for Halloween or whats your plans? I am not sure about mine! It's my favorite time of year though! Last year I was a Twister board, which I made from the actually game. I cut out the circles and made it into a skirt and then put the twister part across my boobs. It won a contest. It was a little daring and sexy, but fun!  Nightmare On Elmstreet (original)

Hocus Pocus (kids movie but love it)
